Transferring technology from research to industry

When it comes to science and technology, research can never be completely cut off from the world that surrounds it. The ultimate goal of fundamental scientific research is to create new knowledge.

However, in the world of technological research, new knowledge is not an end in itself, but rather a means to an end. And that end is to improve the tools and systems that will make people's lives better in the future.

Public research at GIANT Campus

Industries GIANT

In developed countries, industry plays a crucial role in driving economic growth and in improving living conditions. Publicly-funded research programs at the GIANT campus aim to work closely with industry leaders, help transfer new technological developments to the marketplace, and support economic development at the local, regional, and national levels.

Transferring technology to industry a top priority

GIANT works closely with companies from a range of industries and has adopted a proactive policy to ensure that new developments are effectively transferred from research to industry.
