Battery School: training the workforce to power the energy transition

Grenoble is a territory that has been intimately linked with all aspects of energy since the invention of hydroelectricity in 1870. Today, the ecosystem is establishing itself as a dynamic hub for the development of next generation energy solutions, among which batteries are one of the most important and necessary elements. Verkor – a company dedicated to the production of low carbon batteries in France – together with a consortium that includes Grenoble INP – UGA (Graduate Schools of Engineering and Management, Université Grenoble Alpes) has recently launched the Battery School to train the workforce needed by the sector.
