The GIANT innovation campus offers plenty of opportunities for local graduate students to grow their nework and develop leadership skills. Because it can be difficult at first to navigate the research and industry landscape, or to find ways to meet and collaborate with people from other institutions, the GIANT student network is here to help you!
No membership fee for this network! It is informal and open to all graduate students (mostly PhD students, but also master interns) working in labs, startups and companies located on the GIANT campus – which means anywhere on the peninsula between the ESRF synchrotron on its northern tip to Grenoble Ecole de Management or Grenoble INP campuses near the train station to the South.
Through the events organised or advertised by network, you can meet other graduate students from CEA, CNRS, EMBL, ESRF, GEM, Grenoble INP, ILL, UGA, as well as companies such as ST Microelectronics, Schneider Electric, or BioMérieux.
The GIANT student network is brought to you by a team of dedicated GIANT Junior Ambassadors, supported by the GIANT campus team. That’s right, events for graduate students, by graduate students!
Being a Junior Ambassador is a great way to develop organisation and leadership skills, and an opportunity to get involved deeper with research and industry stakeholders. We’re accepting applications on a rolling basis, join the team!
Our GIANT Junior Ambassadors are working on two main events for 2019:
|Junior Scientist and Industry annual meeting (JSIam) – 29 March 2019
|GIANT Orientation Day – 15 April 2019 (pilot) and 26 November 2019
