Hello everyone,
We are excited to invite you to the IAB Topic Day on May 7th, 2026, held at the Bâtiment Albert Bonniot in La Tronche and organized by the IAB PhD students committee.
This year’s theme, « When Sciences Come Together » emphasizes the collaborative potential of disciplines like biology, chemistry, and physics in addressing complex scientific questions. This event is an opportunity for PhD students and researchers to discover new methodologies and forge connections across various fields.
What to expect:
- Keynote Speaker: An introductory talk by Frédéric Darbellay, an expert in interdisciplinary studies.
- Conferences: Two sessions of conferences to explore how biology and other sciences can connect to create innovative projects.
- Round Table: A discussion on the challenges of interdisciplinarity in both academia and industry.
And for those who wish to stay a little longer:
- Interactive Workshops: Sessions designed to help you connect and find new ways to collaborate.
- Social Finale: The day will end with a movie/documentary session hosted by the PhD committee cineclub, complete with popcorn and treats 🙂

- Who can attend? Everyone! PhD students, ITA, researchers, Master students…
- Cost: Participation is free.
- Registration: Mandatory to help us organize the buffet lunch and coffee breaks.
